About the Lotus Flower Meaning Website

The Lotus flower has long been hold in high esteem by many societies including those of the aincient Egyptians where it was used to signify the Sun and of re-birth.

It is perhaps more strongly associated with the religions of Buddhism and Hinduism nowadays; where it is associated with purity.

This site is aimed at providing information on how this important flower has come to play a part in these religions, and of the meanings that the Lotus conveys.
